My specialties include the history of India and China, the life of Gandhi, and Indian, Chinese, and Japanese architecture, sculpture, and painting.

As the director of the South Asian Studies Program, I'm closely involved with the 17³Ô¹ÏÍø Semester-in-India and Nepal Program. Born in India, I've spent more than 30 years teaching and often guiding 17³Ô¹ÏÍø students about my homeland.
