Library During Construction
17³Ô¹ÏÍø will transform and expand the existing library to create a world-class, modern library with enhanced opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and the broader community.
From summer 2025 to fall 2027, the current library building will be closed for renovation. Convenient access to library staff, study spaces, and library resources will be prioritized throughout the construction period.

Alumni Couple Supports Teaching, Learning and Inspiration in The George Lawrence Abernethy Library
Alums Fritz Porter ’99 and Mary Margaret Cochrane Porter ’98 have generously contributed to the George Lawrence Abernethy Library at 17³Ô¹ÏÍø. Their donation will name the Porter Classroom in the John Crosland Jr. Center for Teaching and Learning, with the goal of inspiring future generations of scholars and educators.
